Description:
Fused quartz rod is made from high-purity silica that is melted and formed into a solid, round rod with tight dimensional control for straightness and consistency. This rod is 8.0 mm in diameter with a standard length of 4 feet, and it is manufactured with controlled ovality, bow, and diameter tolerances to support precision work. In lampworking and scientific glassblowing, fused quartz is chosen when the job demands extreme heat resistance, very low thermal expansion, and excellent thermal shock performance.
