Item Name:

Blow More Glass Tools - 8-25mm Graphite Reamer

SKU:

ABR-BMGT-850-521E

Description:

This is a graphite reamer with a handle, built with an 8mm to 25mm working range. The working end is graphite, which is a standard material for hot glass contact because it holds up well to heat and releases cleanly from glass. This style of reamer is made to be a simple, controllable shaping tool for opening and sizing holes or loops while the glass is still hot and workable.

How it is used:

This reamer tool is used to open holes or loops in hot glass. A simple turn of the reamer will expand the hole, allowing you to gradually bring an opening up to size while maintaining control of the shape. It is useful in lampworking for pieces where you need a consistent opening, and it can also be used when forming and refining openings during other hot glass processes.

Dimensions:

8mm to 25mm reamer size range

Extra long handle, great for lathe work

Straightforward reamer, but has a nice long handle so will be ideal for lathe work

Nice reamer that’s not bad on the wallet!

I’m not new to lampwork, but off mandrel boro work is an exciting path I’ve started following. This reamer is a tool I’m already very attached to. I like that it starts at such a small mm since I’m not making large projects quite yet.
