Description:
The Covington 8" Deluxe Combination Unit is a multi-station lapidary and coldworking machine built for production work, combining five work stations into one cabinet-style unit. It is constructed with powder coated aluminum castings and includes a hood and belt guard to help manage spray and debris while protecting the drive system. The machine is powered by a heavy duty, high torque 1/3 horsepower motor system and uses a Levermatic speed control with 8 rpm changes, giving you practical control when moving between aggressive shaping and more controlled finishing steps. A metal cabinet stand is available as an optional add-on.
How it is used:
In lampworking and glass fabrication, this type of combination unit is used for coldworking after annealing, including trimming, shaping, and refining edges and surfaces on glass components. The adjustable cab and wheel rest support the workpiece during grinding and finishing, helping you keep consistent angles and pressure.
