Description:
The Herbert Arnold Precision 1060 is a precision glassworking lathe built around an 80 mm bore headstock for versatile, demanding bench lathe work in glass and quartz. It is designed for operations such as joining electrodes, producing bulbs from quartz, making glass metal seals, and streamlining repetitive fabrication steps where accurate alignment and controlled rotation matter. The lathe is supplied with standard accessories that include a burner support, a blowing swivel with holder, an electromagnetic brake, an electromagnetic clutch for the tailstock spindle, clamping units for the burner support and tailstock, and a set of tools. The machine is operated from an integrated control panel that includes a main switch, an emergency off switch, right and left turning direction on controls, a stop push-button, brake on and off switching, clutch on and off switching, foot pedal on and off switching, a potentiometer for spindle speed control, and a plug for an optional foot switch.
