Each stencil uses a water based adhesive that is designed to release cleanly with a simple water soak, making removal straightforward after blasting.
The stencils include an instructional sheet to guide placement and use. The arrow design is intended to produce a clean, defined graphic edge, which is especially useful when you want a bold pattern that reads clearly on curved or flat glass surfaces.
How it is used:
In glassblowing and lampworking finishing, vinyl resist stencils like these are applied to clean, dry glass before sandblasting. Once the stencil is burnished down to prevent undercutting, the exposed glass is blasted to create a frosted, etched surface while the covered areas remain clear and protected.
After blasting, the stencil is removed by soaking the piece in water until the adhesive releases and the vinyl begins to lift away, leaving the sharp-edged arrow pattern behind. This is a fast way to add repeatable decorative graphics to cups, ornaments, panels, scientific tubes, and other finished glass surfaces.
