Asian 12mm Cobalt Blue Rod is a solid color glass rod pulled to a consistent 12mm diameter, formulated to deliver a rich, classic cobalt blue. In the flame, this size is a practical “production” diameter: large enough to feed color quickly for medium to larger work, but still controllable for clean heat penetration and even gathers. Cobalt is a strong, saturated color, so it is commonly chosen when you want bold linework, deep overlays, and high-contrast accents that hold their presence after proper annealing.
This rod is introduced directly into the flame and worked like any solid color stock.
