Asian 12mm x 1.0mm Clear Tubing is clear borosilicate tubing manufactured with a 12mm outside diameter and a 1.0mm wall thickness. This size is a staple “everyday clear” for flameworking because it heats evenly, stays stable in the flame, and gives you a predictable balance between strength and workability. The 1.0mm wall is thin enough to move efficiently for blowouts and shaping, while still offering enough structure for clean seals, consistent rounds, and controlled stretching.
This clear tubing is used for lampworking builds that start from hollow stock, including small to medium blowouts, connectors, and general fabrication where you want a manageable diameter with a responsive wall. It is a strong choice for practicing clean seals and transitions, pulling down for smaller sections, and building hollow forms where you want the glass to inflate without fighting excessive wall mass. It is also commonly used anywhere you need clear sections before adding color, sleeving, or surface work.
