Description:
Asian 15mm x 2mm Clear Tubing is clear borosilicate glass tubing supplied in case quantity for production lampworking and scientific-style fabrication. This tubing is produced as straight, consistent-wall clear tube meant to give predictable heat response, clean seals, and reliable wall control during forming. At 15mm outside diameter, it is a comfortable step up in size for larger hollow work while still being manageable on a bench torch, making it a practical choice when you want more volume without moving into very large diameter tube.
How it is used:
This clear boro tubing is worked by heating and rotating in a neutral flame to maintain roundness and keep the wall even. You can cut it to length, fire-polish the cut edge, then weld it to other tubing, rod, joints, or transitions as your build requires. In lampworking, 15mm tubing is commonly used for larger hollow bodies, blown sections, and assemblies where you want a stable tube that can be shaped, stretched, and sealed with good control. The 2mm wall gives enough material for confident welds and seals while still allowing controlled draws and collapses when you bring the heat in evenly.
