Asian 16mm Jade White Tubing is an opalescent white colored glass tubing made in China and supplied as straight hollow tube for lampworking and flameworking. The opalescent white formulation is chosen when you want a clean, milky white that reads bright in finished work and holds its presence across larger hollow surfaces. It is sold by the piece and supplied in long lengths so you can cut it down for sleeves, blown sections, and hollow components with consistent starting geometry.
This tubing is worked by heating and rotating evenly in the flame until the wall comes up to temperature, then shaping by blowing, sealing, stretching, condensing, or joining to other tubing and components. It is commonly used for hollow beads, small blown forms, and sleeving work where starting from tube keeps the bore centered and saves time compared to building hollow from rod. The opalescent white look is especially useful when you want strong contrast under surface decoration, clean backing for encased color, or a solid white base in sculptural hollow builds.
