Asian 16mm x 1.2mm Clear Tubing is clear borosilicate tubing made in China with a 16mm outside diameter and a 1.2mm wall. It is produced as straight, consistent tubing intended for flameworking and scientific-style fabrication where clean clarity and predictable wall thickness matter. A 1.2mm wall is a go-to choice when you want tubing that heats and seals efficiently without feeling flimsy, giving you good control for joins, blowouts, and clean terminations while still keeping finished work from getting unnecessarily heavy.
This clear tubing is worked by heating evenly while rotating, then shaping by blowing, pulling points, sealing ends, and making joins to other borosilicate components. It is commonly used for building and repairing clear assemblies, making small-to-medium blown sections, creating transitions, and producing clean, transparent parts where you want the glass to stay visually neutral and show internal detail, encasement work, or the purity of the form.
