Description:
Asian 16mm x 2.5mm-3.2mm Clear Tubing is clear borosilicate tubing made in China with a 16mm outside diameter and a heavier wall thickness range of 2.5mm to 3.2mm. It is manufactured as straight, consistent tubing intended for work where added strength, stiffness, and thermal mass are desirable. This heavier wall is chosen when you want tubing that stands up to more aggressive heating, repeated sealing cycles, and tougher handling during fabrication, while helping finished parts feel substantial and durable.
How it is used:
This clear tubing is worked by heating evenly while rotating, then shaping by sealing, pulling, flaring, and joining to other borosilicate components. The thicker wall makes it especially useful when you need strong seals, stable joins, and a more rigid section during assembly, such as in heavier-duty clear builds, structural sections, and applications where you want extra resistance to deformation while working hot.
