Asian 25mm Jade Blue Tubing is an opaque blue borosilicate color tubing made in China. It is manufactured as a consistent, pre-formed tube so you can start work with a clean hollow form instead of sleeving or blow-tubing your own color. Opaque colors like this are chosen when you want strong coverage, crisp visual edges, and a solid, non-see-through look in finished work.

This tubing is supplied in 4 ft. lengths and is sold by the piece.

How it is used:

This size of color tubing is commonly used in lampworking and scientific glass work whenever you need a larger-diameter colored sleeve for building hollow forms. Typical shop use includes:

• Sleeving over clear tubing to create a durable colored exterior while keeping the strength and working characteristics of clear boro underneath
• Building larger sections for vessels, tubes, and hollow components where you want the color to read evenly across the surface
• Pulling down into smaller tubing, blowouts, or sections for assembly work when you want consistent color in hollow stock

Because it is opaque, it is especially useful when you want the color to stay visually bold even after heatwork and shaping.
