Asian 25mm Light Cobalt Blue Tubing is a heavily saturated transparent cobalt blue borosilicate color tubing made in China. This is true drawn tubing, meaning the color is fully integrated through the wall for consistent saturation when you stretch, blow out, or sleeve it over clear. In lampworking, a strong transparent cobalt like this is chosen when you want deep, clean color that still transmits light, especially on thicker wall sections and larger diameter work where lighter transparents can wash out.
This tubing is commonly used as a starting tube for blown forms and large hollow work, or as a color sleeve over clear tubing to build layered color without sacrificing strength. It is also a solid choice for sections that will be stretched into heavy wall blowouts, pulled into color tubing for components, or used as a bold transparent accent layer in assemblies where you want the blue to read clearly even after multiple heat cycles.
