Description:
Asian Light Yellow is a borosilicate color tubing made for clean, consistent transparent color in larger work. It is pulled as true tubing so the color stays even around the circumference and through the wall as you heat, stretch, and shape it. Supplied as tubing, it is a fast way to get a uniform yellow body color without having to build up color by layering rod. This size is selected when you want the color to read clearly across a larger blown section or a larger diameter assembly.
How it is used:
Light Yellow tubing is commonly used as a colored body tube for larger lampworked and blown components where you want a bright, transparent yellow presence and predictable wall thickness. The 32mm diameter gives enough volume for blowing out sections, shaping larger forms, and making joins while still keeping the color strong after expansion. It is also useful for sleeving over clear or other colors when you want a controlled yellow overlay and consistent results from piece to piece.
