Asian 41mm x 2mm Clear Tubing is economically priced clear borosilicate tubing made in China, intended for larger hollow work where you want clean, neutral glass without the premium cost. The tube is manufactured as straight clear boro with a consistent wall that is suitable for gathering, blowing, stretching, and sealing in typical borosilicate flame working ranges.
This size is commonly selected when you need a larger starting diameter for bodies, sleeves, and hollow assemblies, or when you plan to pull down to smaller tubing while keeping good wall control. For production work, it is a practical choice for building volume efficiently, especially when the final piece will be further shaped, sleeved, or sectioned into multiple components.
In lampworking, 41mm clear tubing is usually worked with a steady preheat and even rotation to keep the wall temperature uniform.
Once the tube is moving evenly, it can be used to blow out larger hollow forms and vessel bodies from a stable starting diameter, stretch and pull down into smaller diameter tubing for custom sizes and transitions, cut into sections for sleeves, collars, and reinforcement wraps on larger builds, and build multi-part assemblies where clear is used as a base for color overlays, encasement, or window sections.
For best clarity and fewer surface issues, work in a neutral flame and avoid overheating the surface, especially during long heat cycles on larger diameter tube.
Cases ship individually in a 65" box. We do not cut anything over 38mm for the safety of our team members.
