Asian 44mm Neon Green Tubing is a colored borosilicate glass tube made for lampworkers who want a high-visibility, saturated green in large hollow work. This tubing is manufactured in China and supplied as straight colored tubing, which gives you a uniform body color without needing to sleeve clear and build color by hand. In practice, large diameter color tubing like this is chosen for full-size hollow forms, bold bands, and high-contrast assemblies where you want the color to read strong from a distance and stay consistent through repeated reheats during construction.
Because it starts as tubing, it is especially useful when you need a ready-made internal airspace for hollow fabrication. That saves time on set-up, helps keep wall thickness more consistent, and reduces the number of seals compared to building a blank from rod. Neon Green is a natural pick for pieces that need loud, graphic color, for visibility in layered color work, and for components where you want the green to stay even across the entire section.
Neon Green tubing is typically cut down into a workable section, the ends are fire-polished, and then it is worked using standard borosilicate hollow techniques. Most lampworkers will close one end, add a handle or blowhose, and then inflate, shape, or pull down the tube depending on the form being built. It can also be stretched down into smaller diameter tubing for custom transitions, used as a sleeve when you want a uniform colored outer layer, or incorporated as straight tube sections, collars, and bands in multi-part assemblies.
