Asian 44mm x 4.0mm Clear Tubing is an economically priced borosilicate glass tube made in China and supplied as a case unit. The 44mm outside diameter paired with a 4.0mm wall gives you a stout, production-friendly starting tube that holds heat well, stays stable during big welds, and gives you enough wall mass to push and pull without the piece going thin too quickly. This is a practical choice when you need large clear stock for everyday shop work and you want to keep material cost under control.
This tubing is used as primary stock for large hollow builds and fabrication work. Cut a section to length, seal and inflate to create bodies and bulbs, or use it as a heavy-wall blank for forming large openings, wide weld areas, and thick transitions. The 4.0mm wall is also useful when you plan to do a lot of reheats, stretching, or aggressive shaping because it gives you material to work with before you reach final wall thickness. It is commonly used anywhere you want clean, clear borosilicate for functional hollow forms, large assemblies, and components that may later be sleeved with color.
