Asian 7-8mm Jade Green Rod

Item Name:

Asian 7-8mm Jade Green Rod

SKU:

AR-JADEGREEN

Description:

Asian-made borosilicate color rod in a jade green formulation, supplied in a 7–8mm diameter range. Color rod is used in lampworking as primary stock for building solid forms, adding color overlays, and creating decorative elements, and it can be worked directly or pulled down into smaller rod and stringer for detail work. Jade green is typically chosen when you want a cooler, denser green that reads smooth and rich in finished work, giving a strong color field that pairs well with clear, white, and many transparent colors for clean contrast and layered compositions.

How it is used:

This rod is used directly in the flame for lampworking. It can be melted down to build solid components, used for gathers and overlays, or pulled into smaller rod and stringer for fine line work and detailed accents. The 7–8mm diameter range is especially useful when you want a moderate amount of glass for overlays, decorative elements, and components that need to hold heat during shaping and assembly. Jade green rod is well-suited for bold color bands, sculptural details, and surface decoration, and it can be combined with clear for encasement effects that add depth while keeping the overall green tone clean and saturated.
