Item Name:

AR-BLUELIGHT

Description:

Asian 7-8mm LIGHT Cobalt Blue Rod is a colored borosilicate glass rod pulled to a steady working diameter and formulated to produce a softer, sky-inspired cobalt blue. Compared to traditional deep cobalt, this lighter shade gives you a more open, airy blue that still reads clean and vibrant in finished work. It is an excellent choice when you want blue presence without overpowering adjacent colors, and it is especially attractive in designs that benefit from a brighter, more approachable cobalt tone after proper annealing.

How it is used:

Use this rod as your primary feedstock for flameworking. It is well-suited for beads, small sculptural work, and decorative linework where you want ocean and sky color palettes, soft gradients, and crisp blue accents. It also performs nicely as a layering color for depth and transitions, letting you build blue volume and highlights while keeping the overall look lighter than standard cobalt.
