Asian 7-8mm Opaque Green Rod

Item Name:

Asian 7-8mm Opaque Green Rod

SKU:

AR-OPAQUEGREEN

Description:

Asian 7-8mm Opaque Green Rod is a color borosilicate glass rod pulled to a consistent working diameter and formulated for solid, saturated green coverage with true opacity. Opaque greens like this are used when you need bold color that reads clearly in both thin and thicker applications, making it a dependable choice for strong visual contrast, clean color blocking, and crisp graphic elements in flameworked work. The consistent rod size helps the glass heat evenly and feed predictably, which is especially important when you are building smooth bases and keeping your surface free of chill marks.

How it is used:

This rod is used as a direct color source at the torch for beadmaking and flameworked components. Melt the end and apply the glass as wraps, dots, and line work, then marver and shape to your final form. It is well suited for nature-inspired designs, bold sculptural accents, and any work where you want a stable, opaque green that maintains strong coverage after proper annealing.
