Asian 7-8mm Transparent Pink Rod

Item Name:

Asian 7-8mm Transparent Pink Rod

SKU:

AR-PINK

Description:

Asian-made borosilicate color rod in a transparent pink formulation, supplied in a 7–8mm diameter range. Color rod is used in lampworking as primary stock for building solid forms, adding color overlays, and creating decorative elements, and it can be worked directly or pulled down into smaller rod and stringer for detail work. Transparent pink is typically chosen when you want a bright pink tone that still transmits light, giving more depth and glow than an opaque pink and allowing layered work and encasement effects to show through while keeping the overall color warm and lively.

How it is used:

This rod is used directly in the flame for lampworking. It can be melted down to build solid components, used for gathers and overlays, or pulled into smaller rod and stringer for fine line work and detailed accents. The 7–8mm diameter range is especially useful when you want a moderate amount of glass for overlays, decorative elements, and components that need to hold heat during shaping and assembly. Transparent pink rod is especially effective for luminous color bands, layered striping, and shading effects, and it can be encased in clear to increase depth and gloss while maintaining a bright, glowing pink presence.
