Description:

Boro Batch Green Pearl Frit Fine is a borosilicate color frit made by crushing and sizing colored boro glass into a fine grain. The color is a deep, dark green intended to sit on the surface of your work and provide a strong, grounding tone next to brighter encased colors. This frit is formulated to be very workable in the flame, but it is not recommended for encasement.

How it is used:

Use this fine frit by rolling a hot gather, bead, or section of tubing in the frit, or by sprinkling it onto a heated area on a marver or frit tray and picking it up. It is especially useful for surface decoration, wrap-and-rake patterns, and building organic color movement on the outside of sculptural work, beads, and blown components. Because it does not like to be encased, it performs best when left as an exterior color layer rather than buried under clear.
