OrangYellow is a borosilicate small-batch experimental color from Boro Batch. Small Batch colors are released in limited quantities and are intended to give lampworkers access to new test melts and research runs that may not be repeated once they are gone. This release is described as Honey BluV, a mix of Boro Batch striking amber, blue, and an experimental UV-reactive color. The glass is described as NPQ, meaning it is Not Perfect Quality with no chemical or off color issues, but it may contain traces of excess air or small stones while remaining fully usable.
How it is used:
Use this rod as you would other borosilicate color in a lampworking flame for accents, linework, and build-up color. Work it with steady, even heat so the color develops cleanly, then pull stringer for fine detail or apply it directly for wraps and surface applications. Because this is a striking and UV-reactive blend, it is especially well suited for pieces where you want the color to develop through flame chemistry and heat cycling, and for work that will be viewed under UV light for added effect.
