Boro Batch - Small Batch - Pea Fowl Test #11 - Bottom Shelf

SKU:

BB-SB-180-OPTION180

Description:

BB SB Pea Fowl Test #11 is a borosilicate color rod pulled as solid color for lampworking. This test version of Pea Fowl is a transparent blue green that leans noticeably bluer than the other Pea Fowl tests, and it carries a slight shimmer that adds extra visual depth in finished work. Transparent blue green colors like this are especially useful when you want layered color, clean light transmission, and a sense of movement when the piece is viewed in different lighting.

How it is used:

Use this rod as you would other boro color rod in a bench torch. Warm the tip gradually, establish a small gather, and apply it as a base color, an overlay, or as accents over clear. Because it is transparent, it shines when you build depth by layering over clear, backing it with a compatible opaque, or using it in thin applications such as stringer linework, feathering, and light wrap patterns. The slight shimmer makes it a strong choice for aquatic themes, wing and scale effects, and any sculptural details where you want a blue green that reads lively rather than flat. Work in a neutral to slightly oxidizing flame to help keep the color crisp and to minimize haze from reduction.
