These are Black Fly McFly’s safety glasses frames that have been modified by Aura Lenses by removing the standard factory lenses and installing Aura split lenses. The split-lens configuration is commonly used in lampworking so you can keep proper shade protection in the upper viewing area for working in the flame, while still having a lighter lower area for seeing your hands, tools, and bench clearly. This setup is a practical choice when you want flame comfort and eye safety without losing visibility for fine detail work at the torch.
How it is used:
Wear the glasses during lampworking and position your line of sight through the darker upper lens area when you are looking directly at the working zone in the flame. Drop your gaze to the lighter lower portion when you need clearer visibility for loading rod, checking tool placement, or doing detail work at the bench.
