Description:

How it is used:
Warm the glass surface where you want the opal to sit, then use tweezers or a pick to place small pieces of crushed opal onto the tacky area. Gently heat to tack the pieces in place, then carefully work the flame to seal the opal into the surface. For added durability and a smooth finish, you can lightly encase with a compatible clear glass layer, using a soft flame and controlled heat to avoid shocking the opal. Anneal the finished piece as you normally would for the base glass you are working in.
