It is made from extremely hard, sharp, angular silicon carbide particles graded to an 800 grit size. In lampworking and general glass shop use, this grit is selected when you want a refined, even surface with a more polished look than 600 grit can produce, while still keeping blast times efficient. It is a strong choice for final surface finishing when the goal is a clean, professional-looking etch rather than a coarse bite.
