Boro Batch Sunset Frit in powder form is a borosilicate color frit made from crushed and graded Sunset color glass into a fine powder. This color is designed for lampworking artists who want a warm, sunset-range palette in their work. In the flame, Sunset is a striking orange that can develop reds and oranges with heatwork, and it is described as a creamy color to work with. Powder frit is especially useful when you want smooth, even coverage, soft transitions, and controlled color placement without the chunkier texture you get from larger frit sizes.
Warm the glass surface you want to decorate, then roll or sift a light layer of Sunset powder frit onto the hot glass. Melt the powder in gently to avoid boiling and to keep the application even, then continue shaping and encasing as desired.
