Butterfly Blasting Stencils are single-use vinyl stencils designed for use with sandblasting equipment. Each sheet measures 8.5 inches by 12 inches with approximately 5/8 inch top and bottom margins. The stencils feature a water-based adhesive that allows for easy removal by simply soaking in water and watching the stencil fall away. Each sheet includes an instructional guide and features a butterfly pattern with sharp, well-defined edges. The larger butterfly images at the top of the sheet measure approximately 1 inch to 1.5 inches in height and 3/4 inch to 1.5 inches in width, with proportionally sized medium, small, and very small butterfly images below for versatile design options.

How it is used:

Butterfly Blasting Stencils are used in sandblasting applications to create detailed butterfly designs on glass surfaces. Lampworkers and glass artists apply the stencil to their glass piece, secure it with the water-based adhesive, and then use sandblasting equipment to etch the butterfly pattern into the glass. The variety of image sizes on a single sheet allows artists to create designs ranging from small accent butterflies to larger focal point designs. The water-based adhesive makes cleanup simple and prevents damage to the glass surface. A three-sheet minimum purchase allows artists to select three different designs or multiple sheets of the same design to meet their project needs.
