Description:
Cinnamon Bun Frit Blend is a mixed glass frit blend packaged in a 2 oz jar. It combines warm honey-brown tones with white and soft golden topaz to create a layered, bakery-warm palette when melted into the surface of soft glass. This type of frit blend is used in lampworking when you want fast, repeatable color variation without having to mix multiple frit colors by hand. It is especially useful for beadmaking and small soft-glass components where you want organic movement, mottling, and highlights that read clearly after shaping and flame-polishing.
How it is used:
Warm the base bead or soft glass component in a neutral flame until the surface is evenly hot and slightly tacky. Roll or lightly press the hot glass into the frit blend, then return to the flame and melt the frit in gradually to avoid shocking the glass or trapping excessive air. For more depth, you can apply in thin layers, melt smooth, and repeat. Once the frit is fully melted in, shape as desired and finish by flame-polishing for a smooth surface.
