Cool Waters Frit Blend is a pre-mixed frit color blend packaged in a 2 oz jar. It is constructed as a curated mix of compatible glass frit colors that are already combined for you, giving a consistent palette from jar to jar. This blend is designed for soft glass lampworking and beadmaking when you want a watery, layered look built from opaque blues and violets with supporting tones like lapis, white, and periwinkle. It is used when you want fast, repeatable surface color and visual texture without having to mix multiple frit colors yourself.
How it is used:
Warm your bead or small gather to a tacky heat, then roll or lightly press the hot glass into the frit to pick up an even coating. Melt the frit in gently to avoid boiling or scumming, then encase in clear if you want added depth and a smoother surface. You can also use the frit as a spot application for accents, or layer it over a base color to shift the final tone and create movement in the surface.
