Description:
This is a single-use vinyl sandblasting stencil sheet with a water based adhesive and an included instructional sheet. The stencil is designed to mask areas of glass so you can blast exposed sections to create crisp, sharp-edged daisy imagery with clean contrast. It is used when you want repeatable decorative surface work on borosilicate or soft glass pieces such as pendants, ornaments, cups, paperweights, and scientific work that needs clear labeling or decorative branding. The water based adhesive is used to help the stencil conform to curved surfaces and makes removal simple by soaking in water until the stencil releases.
How it is used:
Clean and dry the glass surface so the stencil can bond evenly. Apply the stencil to the glass and press it down firmly, especially along the edges of the design, to prevent blasting media from creeping under the vinyl. Blast the exposed areas to the depth and texture you want, then stop and gently peel away any loose sections as needed. When blasting is complete, soak the piece in water until the stencil begins to release, then remove it fully and rinse the glass clean. Dry the piece and inspect the edges of the design before moving on to additional finishing steps such as polishing, flame polishing, or coldworking.
