Description:

This is a medium-size transparent color frit made from Effetre 104 COE glass in a dark aqua shade. It is produced by crushing compatible 104 COE glass into consistently sized granules, then packaging it as a ready-to-use frit for lampworking. Dark aqua transparent frit is used when you want to add clean, saturated blue-green color as surface decoration, to build layered color effects, or to create depth when it is encased under clear 104 COE glass.

How it is used:

• Warm your bead or component and roll it through frit to apply an even layer of color.
• Melt the frit in smoothly in a neutral flame to reduce scumming and keep the color clean.
• Use frit in light layers for subtle shading or build heavier coverage for solid color fields.
• Encasing over the melted-in frit with clear 104 COE glass helps create depth and can give a cleaner, “no smear” look in the finished design.
