Description:

This is a medium-size transparent color frit made from Effetre 104 COE glass in a dark topaz shade. It is produced by crushing compatible 104 COE glass into consistently sized granules, then packaging it as a ready-to-use frit for lampworking. Dark topaz is a bold amber-yellow color that is the darkest shade in the topaz frit line. It is used when you want to add warm, saturated color as surface decoration, to build layered color effects, or to create depth when it is encased under clear 104 COE glass.

How it is used:

• Warm your bead or component and roll it through frit to apply an even layer of color.
• Melt the frit in smoothly in a neutral flame to reduce scumming and keep the color clean.
• Use frit in light layers for subtle shading or build heavier coverage for solid color fields.
• Encasing over the melted-in frit with clear 104 COE glass helps create depth and can give a cleaner, "no smear" look in the finished design.
