Description:
Beer Bottle Brown is transparent beer bottle brown colored glass that has been hand pulled into fine stringers for detailed torchwork. These stringers are made as thin, consistent rods intended for line work, surface decoration, and controlled color application. Each stringer is pulled to a working thickness that supports clean melts and precise placement, making it well-suited for decorative accents where you want a transparent brown tone similar to classic beer bottle glass. This product is sold by weight, with an approximate count per pound provided on the product listing.
How it is used:
Beer bottle brown stringers are used in lampworking when you need thin, controlled applications of transparent color without adding excess glass mass. They are commonly used for drawing lines, striping, scrollwork, and fine detail on beads and small sculptural forms. In soft glass work, a stringer is warmed in the outer flame, then brought into the working flame and applied to a hot base bead or component. The stringer can be used to trail raised lines, melt in for smoother decoration, or layered under clear for depth. Because the glass is already pulled down to a small diameter, it allows fast heat response and accurate placement, which is especially helpful for production work and consistent decorative results.
