Description:
Champagne Rose is a hand-pulled soft glass stringer made for 104 COE lampworking. It is constructed as thin, consistently pulled strands of colored glass that are sized to melt quickly and predictably in a torch flame. Stringers are used in lampworking when you want controlled line work, fine detail, and clean application of color without adding the bulk of full-size rod. This color is useful for delicate accents, scrollwork, dots, striping, and surface decoration on beads, small sculptural work, and other 104 COE projects.
How it is used:
Warm the tip of the stringer in the outer flame to prevent shocking, then bring it into a neutral flame to begin melting. Apply the molten glass to the surface of your base bead or component by trailing lines, placing dots, or wrapping fine bands. Keep the stringer moving to maintain an even line weight, then briefly reheat to smooth and fully fuse the decoration into the base glass before annealing.
