Each stringer is pulled to a consistent working thickness of approximately 2-3mm and supplied in lengths of 8-12 inches. This color is a semi opaque extra light pink plum tone that is useful when you want gentle, pastel warmth without overpowering the base glass. How it is used:
Stringers are used in lampworking and beadmaking to add fine lines, scrollwork, striping, and controlled accents of color. This extra light pink plum shade is especially useful for floral details, soft shading, skin tones in small sculptural work, and subtle decorative banding on beads and small blown forms. Heat the tip of the stringer gradually in the outer flame to avoid shocking, then bring it to a smooth working temperature and apply it to a hot base bead or component.
