Description:
Devardi Stringer - Opaque Pea Green are hand pulled glass stringers. Stringers are pulled to a consistent 2-3mm thickness and supplied in 8-12 inch lengths. This is 104 COE soft glass intended for lampworking and beadmaking. The opaque pea green color provides a bright, natural green that reads well in both fine detail and heavier surface decoration. Approximately 64 stringers are contained per pound.
How it is used:
Stringers are used in lampworking when you need controlled placement of color without adding the bulk of full-size rod. Opaque pea green is commonly used for leaf work, vines, stems, botanical accents, and crisp linework that needs solid coverage. To use, warm the stringer gradually, heat the tip to a small molten point, then trail lines, scrolls, dots, or borders onto a hot base bead or sculptural form. After application, the decoration is melted in lightly for texture or fully encased for a smooth finish, depending on the design.
