Devardi Stringer - Semi-Opaque Light Orange is a pre-pulled soft glass stringer made for 104 COE lampworking. It is manufactured as thin, consistent strands of semi-opaque light orange glass that heat quickly and apply cleanly for controlled detail work. This color is used when you want warm orange linework and accents that stay readable on the surface while still allowing a slightly softened, semi-opaque look compared to fully opaque orange. It is commonly chosen for dots, scrollwork, borders, and small decorative elements on beads, pendants, and small sculptural work where you want quick melt-in and predictable coverage without pulling your own stringer.
How it is used:
Warm the stringer gradually in the outer flame to prevent shocking. Bring the tip to a small molten gather, then apply it to the surface of your bead or component for fine lines, dots, and small wraps. Keep the stringer moving to maintain an even line weight, and briefly flame-cut to finish each application cleanly. For best results, allow the decoration to settle in with gentle heat so the stringer bonds smoothly to the base glass without over-flattening the detail.
