Description:
Devardi Rod - Semi-Opaque Extra Light Peach is a soft glass color rod intended for 104 COE lampworking and beadmaking. It is supplied as solid glass rods that are pulled to a working thickness suitable for heating in a torch and forming into beads, small sculptural work, and decorative components. This color is used when you want a very light peach tone with a semi-opaque look that gives gentle coverage while still allowing some depth and layering effects in the glass.
How it is used:
This rod is used by introducing the end of the rod into a neutral to slightly oxidizing flame and heating it until it becomes workable. It can be wound onto a mandrel to form beads, used as a base color for sculptural forms, or applied as an overlay on compatible 104 COE glass to create soft pastel accents. Semi-opaque peach tones are commonly used for skin tones, floral palettes, and subtle warm highlights, and they can be layered with transparent colors for added depth before annealing.
