Description:
Devardi Frit - Transparent Marine Green is a transparent soft glass frit used for 104 COE lampworking and beadmaking. It is made from transparent marine green colored glass that has been crushed and screened into small particles so it can be applied to hot glass and melted in evenly. This color is used when you want a rich green that still transmits light, making it a strong choice for ocean tones, botanical palettes, and layered transparent work where you want depth and saturation without an opaque look.
How it is used:
Frit is used when you want fast surface color, controlled accents, or layered effects without switching to a full rod. Heat the bead or workpiece until the surface is tacky, then roll it in frit or sprinkle frit onto the hot glass. Melt the frit in gradually to smooth the surface and reduce trapped air, then continue shaping. Transparent greens are commonly used for base color washes, for building gradients and transitions, and for adding depth under encasement or over light base colors. Use standard 104 COE compatibility and annealing practices when combining with other soft glass colors.
