Description:
Devardi Stringer - Transparent Amber is a transparent 104 COE soft glass stringer that is hand pulled to a thickness of 2-3mm and cut to lengths of 8-12 inches. Each pound contains approximately 64 stringers. Transparent amber is a warm honey and golden brown tone that is commonly used for earthy color palettes, warm highlights, and layered transparent work where you want depth and a natural glow.
How it is used:
Stringers are used to add fine lines, controlled wraps, and detailed surface decoration to beads and other soft glass work. Heat the end of the stringer until it softens, then apply it to the hot base glass by trailing, wrapping, or drawing patterns. Transparent amber is especially useful for scrollwork, striping, dot application, and shading effects, and it can be layered over lighter transparents for richer tones or used over opaques for strong contrast. This stringer is compatible with other 104 COE soft glass and should be annealed using standard 104 COE soft glass annealing practices.
