Devardi Stringer - Transparent Light Golden is a soft glass stringer intended for 104 COE lampworking and beadmaking. Stringer is colored glass that has been pulled down into thin, consistent strands so you can apply small amounts of color with precision. The transparent light golden color is typically used when you want a warm, honey-toned accent that still allows light to pass through, which helps preserve depth in layered designs and keeps fine linework from looking heavy.
How it is used:
Stringers are used for controlled application of glass when you need fine lines, small wraps, dots, and delicate surface decoration. Warm the stringer gradually in the outer flame to prevent shocking, then bring the tip to working temperature. Touch the molten tip to the heated bead or workpiece and trail the line or place dots as needed. This is especially useful for adding detail over a base color, creating striping, writing, scrollwork, and building simple patterns before light shaping or encasement. Keep the base glass warm while applying stringer so the decoration bonds smoothly and you avoid chill marks.
