Description:
Devardi Stringer - Transparent Ocean Blue is a pre-pulled soft glass stringer made for 104 COE lampworking. It is manufactured as thin, consistent strands of transparent ocean blue glass that heat quickly and lay down clean lines without needing to pull your own stringer. This color is used when you want rich, deep transparent blue detail that stays readable, making it a strong choice for aquatic themes, sophisticated linework, high-contrast detailing, and adding transparent blue lines over both light and dark base colors while maintaining visual depth and dimension.
How it is used:
Warm the tip slowly in the outer flame until it begins to glow, then bring it into a working heat and touch it to the bead or component to apply lines, dots, or fine wraps. Keep the stringer moving to maintain an even line thickness. For cleaner detail, work a little cooler and use light pressure so the stringer does not blob. After applying decoration, briefly reheat to seat the stringer into the surface, then continue shaping and finish with an appropriate annealing cycle for 104 COE soft glass.
