Description:
Devardi Stringer - Transparent Forest Green is a soft glass stringer intended for 104 COE lampworking and beadmaking. It is constructed by pulling compatible colored soft glass into thin, consistent strands so you can apply color with precision and minimal added bulk. The transparent forest green color is a deep green that still allows light to pass through, making it useful for fine linework, layered transparent color effects, and adding controlled accents without overpowering the base design.
How it is used:
Stringers are used for drawing lines, writing, scrollwork, surface decoration, and adding small amounts of color to beads and small flame-worked components. Warm the stringer gradually in the outer flame to avoid shocking it, then bring the tip to a small molten gather. Touch the molten tip to the work and move steadily to lay down a line, or use short touches to place dots and small details. This transparent forest green is especially useful when you want crisp detail and transparent depth, such as veining, borders, and layered color over a lighter base.
