Description:
The CalderaXL-KS Digital Control Kiln is a compact kiln designed for heating and holding glass at controlled temperatures. It operates without electronics or timers and uses a reliable infinite control switch to adjust the heating rate. The infinite control switch contains a bi-metallic timer that cycles on and off. Higher switch settings keep the heating elements on longer during each cycle, and on the High setting the heating elements stay on continuously. The kiln is rated for a maximum temperature of 2350F and is configured for 120V power.

This kiln is used in lampworking and other glasswork when you need a consistent heated chamber for warming, holding, or annealing small glass pieces. You set the heating rate by adjusting the infinite control switch, using lower settings for slower heat-up and higher settings when you want the kiln to climb faster or hold hotter.
