Extra Milling Head is a heavy duty replacement milling head designed for use with Covington’s bead mill. It is made with a recessed working cavity in the ceiling of the head that is shaped to hold beads in position while grinding. This part is used when you need an additional milling head ready to go, or when you are replacing a worn head to keep your bead mill running smoothly and consistently.
How it is used:
Used with cov1039BM. This milling head is installed on the compatible Covington bead mill and used during coldworking to grind and refine bead shapes. The recessed area helps keep the bead seated and controlled while the grinding action removes material, allowing you to true up profiles, smooth surfaces, and bring beads to a more uniform finish before final polishing steps. It is especially useful for production-style beadmaking where repeatability and stable bead positioning matter.
