Description:

Eye #2 Blasting Stencils are single-use vinyl sandblasting stencils designed for creating crisp, sharp-edged etched patterns on glass. Each stencil sheet uses a water based adhesive so removal is straightforward. After blasting, soak the piece in water and the stencil will begin to release. The stencil set includes an instructional sheet, and there is a three sheet minimum purchase requirement.

This design features a stylized Egyptian eye symbol with multiple image sizes, making it useful for repeating motifs, borders, and focal emblems on blown, fused, or coldworked glass.

How it is used:

Clean and dry the glass surface, apply the vinyl stencil firmly to prevent blast media from creeping under the edges, then sandblast to the depth and texture you want. After blasting, soak the glass in water to help the water based adhesive release, then peel away the stencil and rinse. These stencils are commonly used to add permanent matte imagery and graphic detail to finished work before final cleaning and presentation.
