Fairy Dust is high temperature flakes that refract like dichroic glass. These jars of flakes hold actual material weight is 1.5 grams of fairy dust that has a particle size between 100-2000µ. Jamaican Hybrid refracts shimmering teals and reds. These flakes are compatible with 104 COE, 96 COE, and 33 COE glass.
How it is used:
Fairy Dust flakes are used as a surface effect material in lampworking when you want a dichroic style refractive shimmer without using dichroic sheet. Heat the area of the glass you want to decorate until it is tacky, roll or lightly press the hot glass into a small pile of flakes, then melt the flakes in smoothly with a gentle flame. Use it on beads, pendants, small sculpture, and blown ornaments, and consider applying it over clear or light colors to show the refractive teals and reds clearly.
