Description:
Fusion Bead Release is a bead release supplied as a wet, ready-to-use slurry in a 32 oz jar. It is made to coat bead mandrels with a heat-resistant barrier so hot glass does not bond to the metal while you work. This formula is designed for speed and reliability, with both flame-dry and air-dry capability when you need to get on the torch quickly. Once you are working, it is built to hold up with strong longevity for larger beads, and an extra intense grip that helps keep beads from spinning on the mandrel.
How it is used:
- Clean your mandrels so the release can bond evenly.
- Stir the bead release to a consistent slurry.
- Dip the mandrel to the thickness you want for your bead hole size and release strength.
- Let it air dry, or flame dry carefully by warming the coated mandrel gradually until it is fully dry.
- Make your bead as normal, keeping the bead release warm but not overheated.
- After annealing and cooling, soak if needed and twist the bead off the mandrel, then clean out the bead hole.
